Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sensei AI (the "Service"), operated by Sensei AI ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full.

Important Safety Notice: Sensei AI provides AI-generated martial arts coaching for educational and training support purposes only. All physical training carries inherent risk. Always train under qualified in-person supervision. Nothing in this app constitutes medical advice, professional coaching certification, or a substitute for qualified instruction. You train at your own risk.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.
By registering, you confirm that you are 16 or older.
If you are between 16 and 18, you should have parental or guardian consent before training in any martial arts.
You must provide accurate information during registration.

2. The Service

Sensei AI provides:

AI-powered martial arts coaching conversations (Muay Thai, BJJ, MMA, Wrestling)
Fight IQ scoring — AI-generated skill assessments across 6 dimensions
Position map — interactive technique library and learning journeys
Training support tools and educational content

AI Disclosure (EU AI Act compliance): Sensei AI is an AI-powered system. Coaching responses are generated by OpenAI GPT, an AI language model. Fight IQ scores are AI-generated estimates — not clinical assessments, certified evaluations, or the opinion of a licensed coach. The AI may make errors, omissions, or provide incomplete guidance. Always exercise independent judgment.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI models or database content
Share your account credentials with others
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
Upload or transmit harmful, illegal, or offensive content
Use the Service to infringe any third party's intellectual property rights

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (your coaching messages and training questions). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you — including transmitting your messages to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate coaching responses.

We do not use your personal coaching conversations to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, techniques database, Fight IQ system, and AI models within the Service are owned by or licensed to Sensei AI. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

The curated Muay Thai and grappling technique database is proprietary content. Systematic extraction or copying of this database is prohibited.

6. Health, Safety, and Disclaimer

Physical Risk Disclaimer

Martial arts training involves risk of physical injury, including serious injury or death.
You are solely responsible for assessing your physical condition and fitness before following any coaching advice.
Sensei AI is not a substitute for qualified, in-person instruction from a certified coach.
Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice. Consult a doctor before beginning any new physical training programme.
Fight IQ scores and AI coaching assessments are educational tools only — they do not reflect certification, ranking, or clinical evaluation.
We are not liable for any injury, loss, or harm arising from physical training undertaken in connection with use of the Service.

7. Accounts and Termination

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete my account. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or €50 if no amount was paid).
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Irish or EU consumer law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, subject to your rights as a consumer under EU law.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@senseiai.ai. We will endeavour to resolve complaints within 30 days.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the in-app compliance screen or by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
